God gives Grace

When you go through hard times in life and ask the Lord why these things happen, and when you don't get an answer, remember the life of Paul. He asked the Lord three times to remove the thorn from his flesh, and what did the Lord reply? He said in 2 Corinthians 12:9:

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Sometimes, God allows weakness in our lives for a purpose. He does this so that we won't rely on our strength but will be completely dependent on Him. In Paul’s life, even though he suffered with the thorn his entire life, God gave him the strength to move forward and sustain his life. God was his strength, and He was his portion. Yes, it is hard to live a life with a thorn. Just imagine that the thorn was pricking Paul every second, making him weak every single moment! Yet, I wonder how God sustained him and gave him the strength to stand firm for God without any denial or grumbling. Yes, God gives grace to those who are weak, to those who say, "It'
s enough, Lord, take me home," to those who feel too weak to handle it anymore. God is good, and He gives grace and strength.

You don't need to compare your life struggles with those of another person or say, "Lord, this person is fine; this person is able to overcome or has overcome; this person has endured." I want to say to whoever is reading this right now that God gives grace to each person separately and according to His divine will. Never compare your struggles with those of another person. Each person has different struggles and battles to face. Also, remember that you don't have to blame anyone for your struggles, not even yourself. Leave your battles to the Lord and surrender yourself completely. He will surely give you the grace to move forward in this life and sustain you if He has promised you. Remember, Jesus loves you so much. He is a good Father, and He cannot bear to see you struggle every single moment. His heart aches seeing you cry and noticing the struggles you go through. Even if the thorn is still present, thank Him. Stay humble to receive His grace. Give Him your life completely. Let Him heal you and use you for His glory.

Small surprise

There is always a special joy that comes when December begins—an excitement that gently fills our hearts as we enter the Advent season. From December 1st, a mild happiness surrounds us because we remember the birth of Jesus, the true reason we have life and hope. Yesterday, I wasn’t in my room because I had gone for a fellowship, and I returned a little late around 10:15 pm. When I opened my door, to my surprise, my roommate Monika was standing there with a warm smile. She had decorated the room with a hanging star, a Christmas tree, and beautiful lights. The moment I walked in, she switched on the lights, and instantly the whole room lit up. And in that moment, not just the room—but my heart was filled with joy. It was such a simple gesture, yet it ignited something so deep within me… the true mood of the season. It reminded me that even the smallest act of love can brighten an entire month. Her little surprise reflected the greater joy that entered this world when Jesus C...

The Mighty Hand

A day after our Sunday chapel service, my sister and I were returning on a two-wheeler. She was riding, and I was seated behind her. It seemed like a normal ride, but within moments, things changed. Though she was riding slowly, she suddenly lost control, and we both fell. It was a frightening moment, she fell forward, face down on the ground. By God’s grace, no vehicles were coming behind us, which could have made the situation far worse. Though shaken, we somehow found the strength to get up. I held her hand and slowly helped her walk toward the casualty at CMC, where we later met a few friends who assisted us. This morning, Linda shared something that deeply moved my heart. She told me that last night, she kept reliving those moments going back again and again to what had truly happened after the accident. With a sense of wonder, she kept asking me, “Was there anyone else with us when you helped me walk to the casualty?” I kept telling her no. I was certain it was just the two of us...

Finding True Love

Most of the time, we try to find true love in our work life—our careers, passions, family, pets, hobbies, and talents. But the moment these things change, or if something happens to them, everything feels different. For instance, when a relationship breaks, happiness fades and emptiness fills the heart. When a dearly loved pet dies, the joy we once had disappears, leaving behind a deep void. Even our talents—when we stop using them—or when something precious we gained is broken or lost, the joy we once experienced through them seems to vanish completely. And even if we regain those things, we are not always sure that the same happiness will return in the same way it once did. But there is one true joy where we can find lasting fulfillment—a joy that will never be lost. Even if we lose sight of it for a time, when we realize it and return with longing, the joy becomes even greater than before, overflowing in abundance. So what is the difference between worldly joy and true joy? The diff...
