At times, we may be looked down upon by the world, as others measure us against their standards and assume we fall short of their knowledge. However, that is far from the truth. As children of God, we are worthy of far more than the world imagines, for we are uniquely filled with God's wisdom, gained through His Word. We walk humbly, and though we are sometimes brought low, it is to prevent us from boasting in the wisdom God has given, as if it were our own. God exalts His people when His name is glorified and in the time and place He deems right. The highest positions the world believes we should occupy are not always where God intends us to be. He will place us where His glory shines through us. So, remain at peace when others mock or belittle you. The Bible says that the mountains will be brought low beneath your feet, for those who serve the Lord!
There is always a special joy that comes when December begins—an excitement that gently fills our hearts as we enter the Advent season. From December 1st, a mild happiness surrounds us because we remember the birth of Jesus, the true reason we have life and hope. Yesterday, I wasn’t in my room because I had gone for a fellowship, and I returned a little late around 10:15 pm. When I opened my door, to my surprise, my roommate Monika was standing there with a warm smile. She had decorated the room with a hanging star, a Christmas tree, and beautiful lights.
